Pokémon GO Fest 2021 Details Have Been Released

We now have details for 2021's Pokémon GO Fest.

On Pokémon GO Live, details for the upcoming Pokémon GO Fest 2021 were given. The event will be held on July 17th and 18th. Tickets will cost gamers $5. Those who purchase a ticket will be able to participate in both days. 

The first day of GO Fest 2021 will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. There will be four hourly habitats this year: Jungle, Desert Mountain, Ocean Beach, and Cave. This four habitats will rotate hourly, and will contain Pokémon that fit those habitats. Pokémon from their respective habitats will appear more often in the wild during their hour. Raids on the 17th will feature Pokémon such as Hitmontop, Cranidos, and Deino. Galarian Ponyta and Galarian Zigzagoon will appear in raids wearing special costumes. Pokémon related to music, such as Chimecho, Audino, and a special costumed Pikachu will appear in the wild all day. Players may also run into Shiny Whismur, Chimecho, Audino, and Tympole. 

GO Fest 2021 will also feature a music festival on the first day. Players can choose between certain Pokémon to join the festivities in a Special Research. They can choose between Pikachu Rockstar or Pikachu Pop Star, which will determine the in-game music that will play during the event. Pokémon music producer Junichi Masuda has produced brand-new tracks just for Go Fest 2021. Players will also be able to fill out their musical group with a number of other Pokémon, all of whom will be dressed in special event costumes. 

The Global Challenge Arena will make a return this year. On the event's first day, gamers will be able to work together to complete a collaborative challenge each hour. If the challenge is completed in time, they will earn a bonus for the remainder of the hour. There will be four Collection Challenges, each themed after a habitat hour. During the event on the first day, Pokémon appearing in the wild and through Incense will have an increased chance of being Shiny. Shiny Unown F, Throh and Sawk will make their Pokémon GO debut. 

The second day of GO Fest 2021 will take place on July 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. The second day of the event will be focused on raids. Players will receive an extra 10,000 XP in raid rewards when they complete a Raid Battle. They will be able to spin Gym Photo Discs to earn up to ten Raid Passes, and can complete Timed Research to earn up to eight Remote Raid Passes. Gamers can also pick up a free event bundle that will contain three Remote Raid Passes. 

There will be features that will be available on both days of GO Fest 2021. All Lure Modules activated during event hours will last for three hours. Special music created by Pokémon music producer Junichi Masuda will play during the event. Eggs will have 1/2 Hatch Distance when placed in Incubators. Pokémon that will hatch from 7 km Eggs include Igglybuff, Chingling, Audino, and more. There will also be event-exclusive Field Research tasks, special on-map visual effects, and more.
