Here's some great news you might have missed: the hotly anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 is much closer to releasing than you were probably expecting.
I'm sure most of us are used to incredibly long waits for modern RPGs. With four years between Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, it's reasonable to assume the trilogy's climatic chapter won't be with us until 2028 at the earliest. However, it could well be landing before that.
In an excellent interview with VGC back in October, Final Fantasy 7 Remake's co-director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed that work on the third and final entry in the trilogy is coming along well, and that it could be with us sooner than we expected.
He explained:
"We're working really hard on the third game in the Remake series at the moment. It’s coming along really well. I’ve got in my head the vision now, the gameplay structure, the gameplay experience, the core experience, and it’s looking in a really good state.
