Ghostrunner will be making its way to next-gen consoles later this year.
A release date for the next-gen version of Ghostrunner has been given (via GameSpot). The game will release for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on September 28th. This version of the title will support post-processing HDR, 3D audio, 4K resolution with 120 fps gameplay, and a ray-tracing fidelity mode. The PlayStation 5 version of Ghostrunner will support the DualSense's haptic feedback. All of the post-launch modes that were released since the game's original launch will be included in the next-gen version, including the Kill Run time attack mode, photo mode, and the upcoming Assist and Wave modes.
It was also announced that a physical edition of Ghostrunner will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. It will release on June 29th. The game is already available on the Nintendo eShop for those who do not mind buying the digital version of the game.
Last month it was announced that Ghostrunner would be receiving a sequel. The sequel will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. No release date or window has been given. The game will once again be developed by One More Level. According to publisher 505 Games, Ghostrunner 2 will have a much higher budget than the first, giving the development team around €5 million to work with. The extra budget comes with the success of the first Ghostrunner. The game had sold more than 600,000 copies since its launch last year.
A roadmap was also released for Ghostrunner. The roadmap reveals a number of different modes and features that are coming to the game through Fall of 2021, including the Kill Run mode and a number of vanity packs. The roadmap can be seen here.
Ghostrunner is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. It will come to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
