Former Goat Simulator Devs Enter the Soulslike Realm with Serpent’s Gaze

Feeble Minds, a studio founded in 2022 by some former Coffee Stain Studios developers from the teams behind the likes of Goat Simulator and Satisfactory has announced its first game. Titled “Serpent’s Gaze,” the project puts the soulslike formula into a roguelike structure, hopefully offering fans a few new twists on their favorite genre.

Feeble Minds hasn’t just announced Serpent’s Gaze, though. Rather, they’ve coupled the news with the launch of a demo on Steam. It’s likely worth a try too, as, even though “roguelike soulslike” games such as Elden Ring Nightreign already exist, Feeble Minds has inserted a few custom wrinkles into their take.

Endure the desert’s curses and conquer the usurper gods.

In Serpent’s Gaze, players set out to reclaim the desert as “scions,” powerful warriors brought to life by the tree god “Magnolia.” Their objective is simple: eliminate Magnolia’s enemies in its stead, as it has become too withered to enact its will directly. These usurpers and opposing gods have no interest in relinquishing their power willingly, leaving no choice but to employ all necessary violence in service of their patron.
