It has been announced that No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will be released on Steam soon. The games will be make their way to the platform on June 9th. The product listings are up now for both games. The games will be receiving an HD makeover, and will run at 60 fps. The games will feature Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud support. However, both games do require a controller to play. They will not support mouse and keyboard.
No More Heroes stars Travis Touchdown, an assassin that wields a beam katana. Travis finds himself at #11 in the United Assassins Association, and aims to become #1. The game features slice and dice action that will have players cutting down legions of foes and square off against a cast of professional killers as they slash their way to victory. Players will also be able to take on part-time jobs in order to buy new merch, undergo training in order to power-up, and take their tricked-out motorbike for a spin through the streets of Santa Destroy.
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle takes place three years after the original. Travis decides to take it easy for awhile, only to find that he has slid through the ranks of the United Assassins Association all the way down to #51. To make things worse, another assassin by the name of Skelter Helter comes after him for killing his brother. The game features three playable characters: Travis, the agile Shinobu, and Travis' brother Henry. The game also features the ability to dual-wield beam katanas, and has even bigger baddies for players to destroy.
No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will be available on Steam June 9th. The games are available on the Nintendo Switch right now.
