The GeForce RTX 50 series of cards came with some major compatibility issues, but NVIDIA is finally issuing a fix for some of them. While the 50 series is naturally NVIDIA's best option for running modern games, the cards have actually struggled with some older titles. Dropping 32-bit PhysX support left classic games like Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Mirror's Edge high and dry, forcing players to turn off the physics simulation that originally made the PC ports memorable.
The latest GeForce blog reveals the return of 32-bit PhysX support for the following titles:
Batman: Arkham Asylum, meanwhile, is slated to receive support "in the first part of 2026." As of now, there's no news on whether other 32-bit PhysX games will be added in the future.
The PhysX casualty has often been dismissed as a minor consequence of the 50 series upgrade, but as the above list highlights, it affected some of the biggest hits of the seventh generation of games.
