The Elder Scrolls 6 fans haven't been given a ton of information about the exciting and monumental RPG, and have more or less been staring at the same landscape image for the past seven years speculating about the game's future. Substantive updates about the project from Bethesda are very rare, but recently we got some important (albeit obvious) information about the game's release.
In an interview with Dutch publication Power Unlimited, Bethesda's Todd Howard stated that he believes Grand Theft Auto 6 will release before The Elder Scrolls 6, even after GTA 6's delay to November 2026. This means the soonest players will get their hands on The Elder Scrolls 6 is around 2027, if not later.
The statement by Howard isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it is an update nonetheless. Howard has already clarified recently (via GQ) that The Elder Scrolls 6 is "still a long way off," and fans weren't expecting to see it anytime soon. That said, rumors over the status of the game have been circulating in recent months, suggesting that the game is already in a playable state.
