Real Moon is reportedly set to release soon for free on Steam (via X), and developers have collaborated with JAXA scientists to provide the most accurate simulated moon experience possible.

There aren't as many games as there should be that incorporate real scientific data to simulate space environments and different worlds, but Real Moon aims to do just that. In cooperation with JAXA, essentially the Japanese equivalent of NASA, Real Moon developers have apparently designed a detailed Moon simulation that incorporates "high-resolution DEM data" for accurate terrain design, "statistical crater distribution, [and] natural rock dispersion patterns."
