It seems that Scarlet Nexus will be a part of Xbox Game Pass when it releases.
It has been confirmed that Scarlet Nexus will not be released on Xbox Game Pass when the title drops. This announcement comes after claims that the game would be a part of the service as a day one release. However, publisher Bandai Namco confirmed to VGC that they do not plan on releasing the title on Game Pass when it releases.
"We have no plans to bring Scarlet Nexus to Xbox Game Pass at this time and are excited for it launch on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on June 25th," a spokesperson from Bandai Namco stated.
There is currently a demo for Scarlet Nexus. However, the demo is for the console versions of the game, and did not release for PC. It has also been announced that Scarlet Nexus will support Smart Delivery. Anyone who purchases the game on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can upgrade to the next-gen consoles for free should they purchase one. There will also be an anime based off of the title coming later this year. The anime will be produced by Sunrise Inc, and will be available to watch through Funimation.
Scarlet Nexus takes place in the distant future. A psychic hormone has been discovered in the human brain, granting people with extra-sensory powers. As humanity entered this new era, monsters known as Others began to come into our world. In order to fight these creatures, the Other Suppression Force (OSF) was formed. The OSF is made of members with powerful psychic abilities who can combat the Others. Gamers will follow either Yuito Sumeragi, an energetic recruit from a prestigious political family, or Kasane Randall, a mysterious scout whose skill has already granted her great notoriety in the OSF.
Scarlet Nexus will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on June 25th.
