Cast your mind back to 2014. A simpler time in many ways. A mysterious demo was released on the PlayStation Store. A demo that ended up being a teaser for a brand-new Silent Hill game from Hideo Kojima.

That demo, known as P.T. never ended up coming to anything. Silent Hills was ultimately canned after Konami and Kojima parted ways. And while Silent Hill has seen a huge return to form over the last year or so with Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill f, we'll always wonder what a Kojima-directed horror game with assistance from Guillermo del Toro could have been like.

The worst part about Konami's handling of Silent Hills was the way it completely scrubbed P.T. from existence. Unless you kept the demo installed on your PlayStation 4 for the last decade, it's impossible to play officially. The good news is there's a new unofficial Unreal Engine 5 remake of the legendary teaser, and you can download and play it for free now.
