Stranger Things Gets An Unexpected Crossover On December 9

Stranger Things seems to be crossing over with just about everything right now, from new D&D content to a LEGO set of the Creel house. As fans eagerly await Volume 2 of the fifth season, which releases on Christmas Day, an unexpected new collaboration with one of the biggest video game franchises has now been announced. And the wait isn't long, since the crossover begins next week.

As announced by Xbox via X, Stranger Things x Microsoft Flight Simulator 24 will be debuting on December 9, 2025. The teaser trailer shows a helicopter flying over Hawkins Lab with retro music playing in the background. A storm is visible in the background, and it looks eerily like the one that hit Hawkins at the end of Season Four after Vecna got his final kill.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is no stranger to crossovers, but the one for Stranger Things feels especially timely. "Turn the skies upside down," reads the post, implying that players may be able to actually explore the Upside Down in MFS 24. Either way, getting to fly around Hawkins, Indiana, still sounds pretty darn cool.
