Last Stop was revealed last year, but we haven't heard much about it since then. It seems the team at Variable State used its time wisely, as the game is set to ship in just a few weeks. Last Stop will be published by Annapurna Interactive and launches on July 22 for Steam, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Last Stop is described as a "narrative-driven third-person anthology adventure following three interwoven stories." Players will control three characters, Londoners who are brought together by supernatural forces none of them yet understand. Variable State has once again teamed with BAFTA-winning composer Lyndon Holland, who previously worked on the team's Lynchian 2016 debut, Virginia.
You can catch a brand-new trailer for the game right here, fresh off the virtual stage at Summer Game Fest.
Last Stop comes as the next in a long line of critically lauded games from Annapurna. Its long list of successes also includes What Remains of Edith Finch, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Kentucky Route Zero, Donut County, Ashen, Florence, and more. Later this year, the team will also launch games like 12 Minutes, a time-looping mystery starring Willem Dafoe and Open Roads, a road trip adventure game.
