The wait for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 may be much shorter than any of us expected. In fact, it shouldn't be much longer until we learn what the third and final entry in the trilogy is officially called.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Director Naoki Hamaguchi recently confirmed that he and Tetsuya Nomura have narrowed the title of Part 3 to two options.
During an (excellent) new interview with Julien Chièze (via Genki_JPN on Twitter) featuring Naoki Hamaguchi and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 director Guillaume Broche, Hamaguchi confirmed: “We’ve narrowed it down to two, and within this year we’ll finalize which one [it is].”
So, what are those two options? There are a lot of fun theories floating around at the moment. The consensus seems to be that the third game will be called Return or Reunion. There is, however, already a game called Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7: Reunion, so I think we can probably rule that one out.
