The surprising crossover between Stranger Things and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is now available, and a series of new images reveal major locations from the show that make it into the game. While Microsoft Flight Simulator represents the gold standard in realistic flight simulation, it's also become a hotbed for pop culture crossovers like Top Gun and Dune. Stranger Things might be the most surprising yet, but it's certainly a welcome addition for fans of the show.
A new PlayStation Blog post highlights key Stranger Things locations coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: Starcourt Mall, Hawkins Middle School, Hawkins National Laboratory, and Hawkins Junkyard. The post also includes a couple of dramatic images of the rifts that appeared in Hawkins at the end of Season 4. In total, the Microsoft Flight Simulator recreation of Hawkins will include "more than 40 iconic locations made famous by the show."
The new images show off familiar iconography from the show, with some painstaking detail put into relatively mundane locations. While Hawkins Middle School might look more or less like any given American school of its time, getting the design right is important to plenty of fans, and Microsoft Flight Simulator isn't slacking.
