The next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been announced.

At Nintendo's Nintendo Direct presentation for E3, the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was announced. The next fighter is Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken series. Kazuya will be one of many guest characters that have appeared in the game, along with Cloud from Final Fantasy VII and Ryu from Street Fighter. A release date was not given for Kazuya, though it was stated that more information on the character will be given on June 28th.

A trailer was released for Kazuya. In it, we see that he will keep some of combos and moves from the Tekken series. We also see that he will be able to transform into his Devil form, with his Final Smash seemingly having him transform and firing off a number of lasers. We also see an appearance from his father, Heihachi Mishima. Two costumes were shown off for Kazuya: his martial arts outfit and his suit with long coat.

Kazuya is the fifth character to release for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Fighters Pass Vol. 2. He follows Pyra and Mythra, who were released this past March. Also included in the pass was Min Min from Arms, Steve from Minecraft, and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. The Fighters Pass Vol. 2 can be purchased for $29.99, though characters can be purchased on their own for $5.99. Every character comes with their own stage and soundtrack selection.

There will be one more character released for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a part of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2. It has been previously announced that all of the characters that are a part of the DLC pack will be released before December 31st, 2021. It is unknown if there will be a Fighters Pass Vol. 3 in the future.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
