News for the upcoming Pokémon MOBA, Pokémon Unite, is on the way.

A news update for Pokémon Unite will be released soon. On Twitter, it was announced that an update for the title will be dropped on June 17th. Not much else was revealed. . The tweet does, however, mention that the news will be important, meaning that there is a possibility that we may get news on a release date or upcoming betas for the title. 

Pokémon Unite is being developed jointly by The Pokémon Company and Tencent Games' TiMi Studios. Tencent are known for creating for developing both Call of Duty Mobile and Arena of Valor. Tencent also owns Riot Games, the developers behind League of Legends

Pokémon Unite is a cross-platform MOBA title for both mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch. In Unite, players face off against each other in 5v5 team battles. During these battles, gamers must cooperate with their teammates to catch wild Pokémon, level up and evolve their Pokémon, and defeat their opponent's Pokémon while trying to earn more points than the opposing team within the allotted time. There will also be wild Pokémon around the map that gamers can defeat to earn points. Unite will introduce a new type of Pokémon battles that will require both teamwork and strategy. 

Pokémon Unite is not the only Pokémon title that is in development at this moment. Remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, entitled Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, will be released later this year for the Switch. An open-world title, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is also on the way, and will be released next year. It will also be a Switch title. 

Pokémon Unite does not have a release date at the moment. The game will release for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices when it does eventually drop.
