A slew of information for Pokémon Unite was released.

A good amount of new information was released for Pokémon Unite. It was announced that the game will release for the Nintendo Switch in July, and on mobile devices in September. The game will support cross-platform play, and will allow gamers to use their Pokémon Trainer Club account or Nintendo Account to keep their progress synced between devices. A trailer was released for the game, and can be seen here

In Pokémon Unite, players will participate in Unite Battles, which are 5v5 team battles. The key to victory is to have more points than the other team when time runs out. Points are earned by collecting Aeos energy by defeating wild and opposing Pokémon and depositing it into one of the opposing team's goal zones. Unite Battles will take place in a variety of different stadiums, which will all have their own rules. There will be many Pokémon to choose from, including Charizard and Pikachu. Type strengths and weaknesses do not exist in Pokémon Unite, though each Pokémon will fall into a certain role: Attacker, Defender, Speedster, Supporter, or All-Rounder.

Before the start of every Unite Battle, all Pokémon will be reset to level 1. Throughout the match, Pokémon will gain experience, and will be able to level up and evolve. When they reach higher levels, Pokémon can learn Unite Moves, powerful moves that can change the tides of battle. Pokémon Unite will have a rank system, with gamers starting at the Beginner Cup level. As they play, players may compete to make it to the Master Cup. Those who are ranked will be recorded on a global ranking board for all to see.

Pokémon Unite will allow players to customize the look of their Pokémon and Trainers. A variety of outfits will be available, both in battle and out. The game will have a shop, and will feature three types of currency: Aeos gems (paid), Aeos coins, and Aeos tickets. Aeos coins and tickets can be earned by playing the game. Gamers can use their Aeos coins or Aeos gems in order to purchase goods such as Pokémon held items or fashion items. Aeos tickets can also be used on fashion items. There will also be a special store that will allow gamers to purchase special items using Aeos gems.

Pokémon Unite will release for the Nintendo Switch in July. The game will then come to mobile devices in September.
