Netflix Losing By Far Its Most Popular Game Today, Plus 2 Award-Winning Titles

By far the most popular game on Netflix, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition, is leaving the service later today, December 11. Netflix is also losing two other award-winning titles as part of its next catalog rotation.

Before today, Netflix's ever-changing game library had already shrunk three times this month. Civilization 6 and Scriptic were the first to leave, on December 4 and 7, respectively. Seven more titles were pulled on December 8.

After years of trial and error, Netflix's $72 billion purchase of Warner Bros. is fast-tracking the company into the upper tier of the gaming world.

Another three games are now scheduled to follow later today, December 11, with Netflix being set to lose GTA: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition, Kentucky Route Zero, and Twelve Minutes. Of those, the remastered version of Rockstar’s 2004 classic appears to be the biggest loss in terms of user engagement. According to AppMagic, GTA: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition had been downloaded 57.4 million times by Netflix users as of November 2025, making it by far the most popular title ever released on the service.
