Eagle-eyed fans began speculating that a Divinity reveal was due at the Game Awards 2025 ever since Geoff Keighley summoned a strange "demonic" statue in the Mojave Desert. Some speculated that the statue might relate to a different game entirely, such as something in the Diablo franchise. However, the tie to Divinity was made due to the appearance of a symbol on the statue that almost exactly matched a Divinity-related trademark recently filed by Larian.
