Ghost of Tsushima will be receiving a Director's Cut.
On the PlayStation Blog, it was announced that Ghost of Tsushima will be receiving a Director's Cut. Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut will release for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 20th. One of the main features of this version of the game is a new area for players to explore. Director's Cut will add the island of Iki as a new playable area with its own story and characters. There will be new environments to explore, new armor for Jin and his horse, new mini-games, new techniques, new enemy types, new animals to pet, and much more. There will also be new trophies to unlock for the island of Iki.
Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut will also have new features for the PlayStation 5 version of the game. The PlayStation 5 version will now feature Japanese lip sync for the Japanese voice over. Director's Cut will also make use of the DualSense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. There will also be enhancements to 3D audio, improved load times, 4K resolution options, and framerates targeting 60 fps.
Those who already own Ghost of Tsushima on the PlayStation 4 will be able to transfer their save over to the PlayStation 5 version to pick up where they left off. All players will receive a patch with new accessibility options for alternate controller layouts, as well as the option to enable a target lock-on during battle and the ability to hide Jin's quiver during gameplay. New updates are also on the way for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends which will include a new mode.
Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut will cost $69.99 on the PlayStation 5 and $59.99 on the PlayStation 4. Those who already own Ghost of Tsushima on the PlayStation 4 can upgrade to Director's Cut for $19.99. Those who buy Director's Cut on the PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for $9.99. PlayStation 4 gamers can also upgrade from the base version of Ghost of Tsushima to the PlayStation 5 version of Director's Cut for $29.99.
Ghost of Tsushima is available now for the PlayStation 4. Director's Cut will release on August 20th for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
