A new Switch model has been revealed.

Nintendo has officially announced a new model of the Nintendo Switch. Dubbed the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model), the new system will release on October 8th. The console will cost $349.99 when it releases. The system will come in two different colors: a white set that features white Joy-Con controllers, a black main unit, and a white dock, as well as the standard neon red / neon blue set. All previously released Joy-Cons will work with the console.

The Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) will feature a 7-inch OLED screen, which is slightly larger than the original Switch's screen. The console features a wide adjustable stand for tabletop mode, a new dock with a wired LAN port, and 64 GB of internal storage. The adjustable stand makes for a sturdy and solid foundation, and can be used to freely tilt the console and adjust the viewing angle to make it easier to see the screen. The system will also feature enhanced audio for handheld and tabletop play. Nintendo also announced that there will be a carrying case and screen protector set for the console when it releases. Those who buy the new system and want to transfer their digital games and save data can figure out how to do so here

"The new Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) is a great option for players who want to experience the new vibrant screen when playing in handheld and tabletop mode," stated Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser. "With the addition of this new model to the Nintendo Switch family of systems, people have an additional choice of a system that best fits the gaming experience they desire - whether its Nintendo Switch (OLED Model), Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite."

The Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) will release on October 8th.
