During PlayStation's recent State of Play presentation, a new trailer was released for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles. The new trailer showed off the "Tsuzumi Mansion" episode. Those who have seen the anime or read the manga will recognize the areas and characters that were shown in the trailer. The trailer gives a new look at the upcoming title, including a peak at combat. The trailer can be seen here.
In Demon Slayer's solo play mode's "Tsuzumi Mansion" episode, gamers will be able to take control of characters other than the main protagonist Tanjiro. These characters include Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. While Tanjiro will have a basic skillset with high controllability, Zenitsu's and Inosuke's styles will be different. Zenitsu will use his speed as an advantage, employing his only skill in a way that allows for continuous attacks. Inoskue will have high offensive capabilities and impressive charging skills.
Demon Slayer's solo play mode will feature the stories of the anime's "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" up through the "Mugen Train Arc," which has players take on the role of Tanjiro and re-experience his story. Players will be able to immerse themselves in familiar locations and battle demons alongside familiar allies. From what has been seen, Demon Slayer will play similar to the Naruto fighting games. It has been stated that more news on the game's solo play and Versus modes will be revealed before the title releases in October.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on October 15th. Those who get the Digital Deluxe Edition can start playing on October 13th.
