The first DLC character for Guilty Gear Strive has been announced.

Guilty Gear Strive developer Arc System Works has revealed the first DLC fighter for the fighting title. The character is Goldlewis Dickinson, the Secretary of Absolute Defense for the United States of America. This will be Goldlewis' debut as a playable character in the Guilty Gear franchise. He will be released on July 27th for those who own the game's Season Pass, and will release on July 30th for everyone else who wishes to purchase him.

Goldlewis will be one of the larger characters in Guilty Gear Strive, standing as tall as Potemkin. A trailer was released for him, showing what he can do on the battlefield, which can be seen here. He is capable of wielding a gatling gun, and can call down an orbital strike on his opponent. Goldlewis also carries a large coffin on a chain, which he can swing at his foe as a weapon. Inside the coffin is an alien from Area 51, which can assist him in his attacks. This helps make him a very unique fighter, something that the Guilty Gear franchise thrives off of.

Goldlewis is the first DLC character that will be available through Strive's Season Pass. He is currently the only character that has been announced. The second DLC character is planned to release next month. After that, the the Pass' third character will release sometime later in 2021, with the final two DLC characters releasing sometime next year. The Season Pass will also include two new stages, both of which will release next year. There will also be new content for the Story mode releasing next year which will be exclusive to Season Pass holders.

Guilty Gear Strive is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The Season Pass is currently available for $29.99.
