The remaster of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water now has a release date.

The upcoming remaster of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water now has a release date (via PlayStation LifeStyle). The game will release on October 28th. A trailer was released for the game showing the release date, and can be seen here. There will be a Digital Deluxe version of Maiden of Black Water, which will come with a digital artbook and six costumes resembling characters from past Fatal Frame games. There will be two costumes for Yuri, three for Miu, and one for Ren. The costumes can be purchased separately as DLC after the game releases for those who do not pick up the Digital Deluxe edition.

Aside from the costumes that will come in the Digital Deluxe version of Maiden of Black Water, all players will receive several special costumes and accessories. Those who pre-order the game will also receive a Atelier Ryza outfit and and hat for Yuri. All players will receive four costumes for Yuri, four for Miu, and one for Ren.

The remaster of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water was announced this past June. The game originally released on the Wii U back in 2014. The remaster of Maiden of Black Water will feature updated visuals, as well as a brand new photo mode. Much like the Fatal Frame titles before it, characters will be equipped with the Camera Obscura, which allows players to ward off and capture spirits. It also lets gamers experience supernatural occurrences. The Camera Obscura will be the only form of defense that players will have as they manage through a world haunted by hostile spirits.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water will release on October 28th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
