Rocket League will be receiving a graphical boost on the PlayStation 5.
On the PlayStation Blog, it was announced that Rocket League will be receiving a graphical boost on the PlayStation 5. The upgrade will be available starting August 18th. There will now be two video settings for gamers to choose from the new "Video Quality" setting in the Video Settings menu: Quality and Performance. Quality mode will run the game at 4K resolution at 60 fps with HDR. Performance mode runs the game at 2688x1512 resolution (70& of full 4K) at 120 fps with HDR.
Ratchet & Clank are coming to the PlayStation versions of Rocket League. Starting on August 18th, gamers will be able to receive a few items based off of Ratchet & Clank in a free bundle. The free will include the Ratchet & Clank Punk Decal for Octane, Negatron Collider Booster, Clank Balloon Topper, and the Ratchet Balloon Topper. The bundle can be obtained by simply logging into Rocket League on either the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. The bundle is obtainable until January 3rd, 2022.
A few other items packs were announced as well. PlayStation Plus members will be able to get the PlayStation Plus Pack on August 24th. The pack includes the Goop GE Animated Decal, Hard Hat GE Topper, Magmus GE Boost, and the Reaper GE Wheels. There will also be the Road Hog XL Starter Pack, which will include the Road Hog XL, Yuzo Wheels, Hypernova Boost, Lightspeed Trail, Kinda Koi Decal, and 500 Credits. The Starter Pack will be available starting today, and will cost $4.99. Also on the way is the Werewolf Pack, which will be released on August 24th for $19.99. This pack will come with the Werewolf, Voxel Goal Explosion, IO: Infinite Wheels, and 1,000 Credits.
Rocket League is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch. The game is free-to-play.
