The featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's September Community Day has been revealed.

On the Pokémon GO blog, it was revealed that Oshawott will be the featured Pokémon for September's Community Day. The event will take place on September 19th. The event will be live from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this time Oshawott will appear in the wild more frequently, and will be attracted to Rainy Lure Modules. Lucky trainers may run into a Shiny version of the Pokémon. Evolving a Dewott (Oshawott's Evolution) during the Community Day or up to two hours after will grant a Samurott that knows the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon. Samurott will now be able to learn the Charged Attack Razor Shell, even after the event has concluded.

During Community Day, gamers can take a few snapshots for a surprise. There will be a special one-time purchase Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokeCoins. The Box will include 50 Ultra Balls, five Lucky Eggs, five Rainy Lure Modules, and an Elite Fast TM. Players will be able to get special Oshawott-inspired stickers by spinning PokeStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop. For $1, gamers will be able to access the Oshawott Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, From Scalchops to Seamitars. This Special Research will include a Rainy Lure Module as one of the rewards that players can get. Players can stay tuned for when tickets for the Special Research will go on sale. They do need to note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal.

During the Community Day, Pokémon GO players will be able to enjoy 3x Catch XP. Any incense used during the event will last for three hours. Finally, any Lure Modules that are activated during the Community Day will last for three hours.

Pokémon GO is available now for mobile devices.
