Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a game where you catch bugs, decorate houses and... visit islands dedicated to sex. Nintendo may not have intended or even condoned that last feature, but, despite that, New Horizons' infamous Adult Island managed to stay online for five years before its eventual deletion.
Churip_CCC's Adult Island was an island entirely dedicated to sexual innuendo and evocative objects. It was launched early in the lifespan of New Horizons, and several content creators have made videos about the island, heightening its infamy in the community. Ahead of the 3.0 update, Churip announced that the island had finally been deleted by Nintendo (thank you Automaton for the translation).
Rather than anger over the decision, Churip was thankful that Nintendo turned a blind eye to the island for so long. In a post on X, they expressed their feelings on the matter.
