The Nintendo Switch eShop recently added the co-op game River Tails: Stronger Together, a 3D platformer that previously released on Steam and earned "Very Positive" reviews on the platform. The Nintendo Switch is home to all kinds of local co-op games, ranging from small indie games to bigger budget titles, including some from Nintendo itself.

In fact, some of the Nintendo Switch's best games support local co-op and multiplayer. For instance, 2023's Super Mario Bros. Wonder featured extensive co-op support, giving players the opportunity to play through the entire side-scrolling adventure with friends, and it was one of last year's highest-rated games.
