Final Fantasy 11 Has Turned Its Game Masters Into Assassins To Terminate Bugged Monsters

Despite being well over two decades old at this point, and not being updated in any meaningful way, Final Fantasy 11 is still a relatively popular MMO. It's seen an uptick in players quite recently, most likely due to the gradual playerbase decline of Final Fantasy 14, so much as that servers have had to be temporarily closed off to new players to avoid bugs.

Just like with any old multiplayer game that's been running for decades, it does mean that some rather weird and wacky problems can arise every now and again. One of the latest examples is Final Fantasy 11 Game Masters being sent out as assassins to murder off monsters that are causing issues for the game's players.

First reported by PC Gamer, it was made clear by Square Enix that there was a problem with Notorious Monsters in Limbus battle system zones. For those unaware, these types of monster spawn just once each month, and depending on exactly how many Notorious Monsters are slain during that month, it will improve the loot from chests found around the region.
