Assassin's Creed's Project Invictus Devs Apparently Think The Game Is "Appalling," Insider Claims

It's been a while since we've last had a multiplayer experience in Assassin's Creed. In fact, not since Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has the series had a multiplayer suite. Black Flag was released back in 2013, so it's been a minute.

Shoutout to the hardcore fans that are keeping the multiplayer of Brotherhood still alive, with hopes of reviving the servers altogether.

However, in 2022, Ubisoft announced its intentions to revive the cult-classic multiplayer of Assassin's Creed via a standalone title developed by members from For Honor under the codename Project Invictus.

In the time since then, we've not had many updates, and based off word from insider xj0nathan, it might be for good reason. Taking to social media, the insider shared some not-so-kind words that were reportedly given to him by a current developer, ones that paint the game as "appalling" and seemingly not a joy to work on.
