Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games announced during its 10th Anniversary showcase that a brand-new game is in development, hinting that the title will launch the series into "an entirely new dimension of gaming."
Shovel Knight is easily considered as one of the forebears of indie gaming. If there was a Mount Rushmore for indie games, Shovel Knight would be there. Ever since its release back in 2014, developer Yacht Club Games has been expanding upon the title, releasing all kinds of DLC and regular updates, turning it into one of the best 2D platformers of all time, all while having our iconic blue knight show up as a crossover in pretty much every popular indie game you can think of.

This was announced by studio founder Sean Velasco during the recent Yacht Club Games Presents Showcase, in which we also got new looks at Mina the Hollower and the announcement of a Shovel Knight remaster.
