Less than a month from the game’s official release date, a brand-new trailer has been released for Resident Evil Requiem that may have deliberately teased a legacy character other than Leon S. Kennedy making an appearance: Ada Wong. This is no ordinary trailer, either, as it is dubbed a ‘short film,’ shot in live action, and stars horror icon Maika Monroe.
Launched earlier today on the official Resident Evil YouTube channel, this trailer clocks in at three minutes and 35 seconds, telling the story of a mother and daughter who experience the viral outbreak in Raccoon City. However, the tail end of the trailer features two unseen individuals communicating, with the latter's voice sounding a lot like Lily Gao, potentially revealing that none other than Ada could play a role in Resident Evil Requiem.
The trailer itself tells a harrowing tale, narrated by Maika Monroe, of a survivor who was unable to save her daughter (presumably killed by one of Resident Evil’s Lickers, no less) and becomes a zombie at some point during the Raccoon City Incident.
