The Division series is closing in on its tenth anniversary. The first game was released on March 8, 2016, with its follow-up, The Division 2, released a little over three years later, on March 15, 2019.
To celebrate this anniversary, Ubisoft has created a range of time-limited modes for players to dive into, and evidently, they have. Over the last 24 hours, The Division 2 has hit its highest-ever player count on Steam, and in the past week, the original game has hit numbers it hasn't seen since 2020.

Ubisoft has also added a range of bonuses, is offering players the chance to play the Warlords of New York expansion for free, and has a deep discount on the main game. This has clearly pulled players back in.
