The White House has been promoting the administration's ongoing invasion of Iran in a manner that resembles a teenage troll rage-baiting users on dubious message boards. We've seen the official White House account leverage pop culture and video games to portray the United States as a global arbiter of justice and democracy; concurrently with this social media campaign, the United States military bombed a girl's primary school in Iran, killing 168 people (per CBS).

A sizzle reel released by The White House—which increased the sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach—was captioned "Justice, the American Way" and contained a hodgepodge of pop-culture clips that I would categorise as 'sigma'. One of these was Halo's Master Chief saying his iconic line, "Finish the fight."

This reached the attention of Master Chief actor Steve Downes, who strongly condemned the character's inclusion in the video.
