Unlike Sony's Other Live-Service Titles, There Are No Microtransactions In Ghost Of Yotei's Legends Mode

After an announcement trailer last year, followed by a release date trailer last month, Ghost of Yotei's free Legends multiplayer add-on mode is finally set to release beginning tomorrow, March 10.

Ahead of its release, Sucker Punch took to the PlayStation Blog to spill a few more details about the sequel to the popular add-on for the original Ghost of Tsushima, including the fact that it was in development as long as the single-player campaign was.

"We had a core team working on multiplayer throughout [Ghost of Yōtei’s] development," lead designer Darren Bridges said. "We were reacting and responding and pulling the systems in, figuring out how they would work in a multiplayer context. As [the main game] finished, people moved over to work on Legends, flesh it out. It’s an interesting development process."

However, most importantly, the studio affirmed that there will be no microtransactions or dreaded season passes for the multiplayer add-on. In other words, what you see in-game can be earned by simply playing the game.
