Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 Leaks, Won't Have Loot Boxes Or In-Game Chat

If you were one of the many hoping for something insane to come out of the reported Disney hack of 1.1 TB of data, then you may want to temper your expectations. That's because the first thing to allegedly come out of the hacks is a leak for a sequel to 2021's Aliens: Fireteam Elite. And as it stands, the game looks like a significant downgrade from its predecessor.

Details of the next game began spreading online on Sunday, and include everything from a potential release window to in-game features. They appear to be from an internal presentation, though the exact nature of the document has yet to be revealed. What is clear, though, is that the game is internally going by "Project Macondo," and its gameplay, while tonally similar, will differ pretty significantly from the 2021 release.
