While The Pokemon Company and Nintendo already had their hands full dealing with Palworld, another game has decided to up the ante. Pickmon was seemingly announced out of nowhere and has been accused of stealing ideas and designs from both games. Hell, even the developer's name, PocketGame, is very similar to Palworld's Pocketpair.
Fans even noticed that Pickmon was lifting designs from Final Fantasy 14, especially the aetheryte crystals that act as fast-travel points in city hubs. However, it doesn't stop there. Several artists have now accused Pickmon of ripping off their fan art. At least two separate artists have noticed their fan art in the game's trailer and images, albeit slightly edited.
The first case appears to be el.psy.fake's concept of a Mega Meganium. The same monster can be seen in Pickmon's banner image, but with some alteration to its eyes and wings. The design of the chest and the shape of the antennae/horns are a dead giveaway, though. The artist's image was uploaded to Instagram on March 10, 2025, so it's way older than Pickmon's version.
