Sony seems to be going all-in on God of War. First, the shadow drop of Sons of Sparta, then the rumours about a spin-off involving Faye, followed by that god awful image from the live action show, and most of all, a remake of the original trilogy. Kratos fans will be eating well! However, that last announcement has kicked up a discussion about the sex minigames from the original trilogy.
There's no doubt that the games were a bit over-the-top, especially with the gratuitous violence and the orb-yielding sex minigames. The depiction of Aphrodite summed it all up with her sexualised demeanor, clothing, and even the shape of her bed. While some may find it to be misogynistic for today's age, a former Santa Monica writer has said that the minigames were mostly designed by women.
