Minecraft's Infamous Herobrine Live Stream Has Been Found

If you've played Minecraft, or were just on the internet in the 2010s, chances are you'll have heard of Herobrine. It's a story that's up there with some of gaming's most famous creepypastas, as a live stream featuring a creepy version of Minecraft mascot Steve with plain white eyes was posted by a content creator known as Copeland.

Of course, it was all a massive hoax, and that live stream eventually vanished, as did Copeland himself, but the story of Herobrine became the stuff of legends. It's something that even Minecraft developer Mojang Studios has alluded to a few times, including little nods in patch notes and the game's main manu splash screen with updates like "removed Herobrine."

The stream that made Herobrine a viral sensation is lost, but one streamer got their hands on the original world and recreated it.

That stream has been considered lost media ever since it vanished along with Copeland, but a YouTuber called Enderboss25 has been working effortlessly to try and get the stream restored.
