While many aspiring game developers opt to attend a four-year university in order to hone their skills before seeking full-time work, it turns out that learning to mod is just as viable a career option. Don't take it from us, though. Cyberpunk 2077's associate game director, Paweł Sasko, revealed just how important modding is to game dev. So important, it can actually lead to a job at CD Projekt Red, apparently.
In an interview with Flow Games, and as transcribed by PCGamesN, Sasko revealed that several modders have made their way from at-home creations to a job with CDPR. Their skills have launched them into helping shape the next Witcher title, according to Sasko.
