Crimson Desert Now Has A Simpler Puzzle Because So Many Reviewers Got Stuck

The now infamous tutorial puzzle for Crimson Desert, which had so many players stumped during the preview and review period, has now been altered to be easier for new players. Pearl Abyss watched everyone get stuck on it during preview events, so they decided they had to make it simpler.

The quest, called Abyss Without Balance, is right at the start of the game when players first enter the Abyss - the land of floating islands far above Pywel - and get to grips with the basic puzzle mechanics of the game. It serves as a tutorial puzzle to introduce mechanics like Axiom Force and Palm Force.

They added additional text to this part of the puzzle, telling players to 'hang' on the device. That one definitely wasn't clear before this patch.

News got around that some players became stuck on a puzzle during preview events for Crimson Desert ahead of its launch, and even during the review period some folks were asking how to solve the 'Abyss Without Balance' quest.
