Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Devs Urge Fans Not To Play Leaked Build

These days, it seems as though video game leaks are almost inevitable, as stores often break street dates and copies make their way into the wild, sometimes weeks before launch. It's not often a completely playable build of a game leaks several months before release though, which is exactly the situation that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 developer Saber Interactive has found itself in.

First reported by Insider Gaming, a development build of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was uploaded to a piracy website last month, though no one is quite sure who uploaded it and why. The build itself clocks in at about 75GB and is completely playable, with only some missing strings and some placeholder assets giving away the fact that it's an unfinished version. It can even reportedly be played with friends, which really drives home how close this build is to the finished product.
