Cairn Sales Climb to 500k Just Two Months After Launch | TechRaptor

Developer and publisher The Game Bakers has revealed that its indie climbing sim Cairn has passed another major sales milestone, and given the game's subject matter, that achievement is presumably marked by an actual milestone.

This news was revealed via a post on Steam earlier today, and it's characteristically succinct. The Game Bakers simply thanks players for helping Cairn to pass 500,000 sales and includes a simple piece of artwork showing a route up the game's imposing mountain.

In early February, it was reported that Cairn had managed to rack up 200,000 sales during its launch weekend, so that means the game has more than doubled its sales total in the intervening weeks. I'm sure The Game Bakers will be happy with that result, especially since Cairn is now easily its most-played game on Steam.

If you're not familiar with Cairn, it's the latest game from The Game Bakers, the French studio responsible for boss rush actioner Furi and contemplative couple RPG Haven. It was originally due for release last year, but was delayed for extra polish, as is often the way.
