Samson: A Tyndalston Story has officially launched on PC, but instead of a smooth debut, the game has arrived with mixed reactions driven by performance issues, bugs, and technical problems. It’s not that the game lacks potential, it’s that it clearly needed more development time. We even admitted in our Samson review that the game clearly has some issues.
Still, its developer, Liquid Swords, isn’t backing away from the situation. Founder and Creative Director Christofer Sundberg has addressed the subpar launch head-on, acknowledging the issues and outlining what comes next. In a recent statement, Sundberg confirmed that the team is already working on improvements, with a massive patch scheduled for April 8, 2026.
That patch is no small update either. Looking at the changes, it’s clear the team is targeting many of the core issues players have been reporting since launch.
All of this points to a game that likely needed more time before release but now finds itself in a position where it has to evolve in real time. And maybe this will help the game, but until this is addressed, the game is still going to be in a troubled state. I’m sure Liquid Swords is aware...
