Critic Reviews for Sovereign Tower
Soverign Knights is charming, cheeky and challenging, with lots of depth and surprises in store at nearly every turn.
Sovereign Tower is a fun and deep management RPG with great writing and a strong time travel mechanic that pulls at you, for better results or for worse.
Sovereign Tower is surprising, complex, and beautiful. Its take on Arthurian myth is familiar enough to get players interested yet finds plenty of space for originality.
If you like games that put you in the king's seat, you'll love Sovereign Tower. It's a lot of fun to hear requests from the populace, make decisions, and maximize knights' load-outs for their quests. However, if you don't like details or making decisions or reading, you probably won't enjoy it. The game is more than a bog-standard visual novel game due to its knight min-max puzzling, but it does heavily rely on the written word and relatively still character frames. That being said, the narrative of Sovereign Tower is as rich as the kingdom you'll end up leading. I had a blast wearing the crown.
Of course, visual novels, management games, and choices matter games are not for everyone. However, if you enjoy the idea of ruling your own magical tower, sending knights out on various quests, and turning back time to ensure everything is perfect, I highly recommend this game. With a fun cast of characters, lots to find, and plenty of reason to challenge yourself with turning back time (or not), Sovereign Tower is definitely one to enjoy this year.
