If you were hoping to play Todd McFarlane's legendary Spawn in another Mortal Kombat, well, then we have some good news for you. As part of a new update, Spawn is back in Mortal Kombat. The bad news? Well, Spawn is only part of Mortal Kombat Mobile, meaning if you wanted to match him up against John Cena's Peacemaker or Homelander in MK1, then you're out of luck.

News of the update comes by way of Mortal Kombat Mobile's official website. In it, via Update 5.4, Spawn will join the MK Mobile roster as a "Diamond" tier character. He's officially being labeled as Tormented Soul Spawn, and several Spawn-related towers will also be part of the update. It's an interesting update considering that Spawn was originally DLC for Mortal Kombat 11, and the recently released MK1 will be wrapping up its first DLC season with Takeda before the end of the month.
