It's been a little while since Helldivers 2 got a new Warbond, with the Viper Commandos Warbond having been released around a month ago. Right before the release of the last Warbond, game developer Arrowhead explained that it would start taking a little bit more time to work on Warbonds, most likely due to the negative reception of the Polar Patriots Warbond that was released back in May.
Warbonds used to be released on a monthly schedule, but the time frame between them is now up in the air due to that particular announcement, and there's a lot of hope among the Helldivers 2 community that Arrowhead takes the time it needs to create a great Warbond this time around. That means the excitement for this Warbond is a little greater than any other, though PlayStation looks to have accidentally lifted the lid on that particular surprise.
