Playtonic has released a new update for Yooka-Replaylee on Switch 2, and it allows you to enjoy the revamped 3D platformer at a silky-smooth 60fps through the addition of a new Performance Mode.
The game already runs pretty smoothly on other consoles, but the Switch 2 version was capped at 30fps before today's update, which now lets you enjoy "faster, more expressive platforming, more responsive movement, and a silky-smooth experience", as Playtonic puts it.
Bear in mind that this is a performance update and not a new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition release, so unlike the Switch 2 versions of games like Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Bros. Wonder, this one won't cost you anything extra.
It also stands to reason that this update is only available on Switch 2, since other platforms don't need it. However, if you're playing Yooka-Replaylee on Switch 2, you should notice it running smoother if you opt for Performance Mode.
