The nominations for the 2026 Hugo Awards—one of the most highly regarded award shows for science fiction and fantasy—have been released.
Since 2024 (besides a one-off category in 2021), the award show has included a category for 'Best Game or Interactive Work', which encompasses both the video game and tabletop industries. The nominations for this year's show are as follows:

In 2021, the one-off 'test' award was awarded to Hades. In 2024—the first year since the category became a permanent fixture at the Hugos—Baldur's Gate 3 took home the prize. Last year, perhaps surprisingly, the indie roguelike RPG Caves of Qud beat out The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, Tactical Breach Wizards, 1000xResist and Dragon Age: The Veilguard to become a Hugo Award-winning game.
