Capcom and SNK fans rejoice! During Saturday's Evo 2024 stream, Capcom announced SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos for the PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. What's more, the game is out now. Like, right now.

For the uninitiated, SVC Chaos is a 2003 arcade fighter. Similar to other crossover games, SVC Chaos sees characters from SNK's various series go head-to-head against fighters from Capcom. It's a cult classic fighter that was never truly widely available until today. That's because while it appeared in arcades and on the Neo Geo, its PS2 and Xbox ports weren't nearly as widely available.

It's true, only the Xbox port of SVC Chaos made it to North America, while both ports were seen in other regions. A report from 2004 states that Sony did not approve of SVC Chaos on PS2 as a standalone. Ironically, the report states that Sony was "also very concerned about games bringing a ‘new experience’ to the system." However, after Saturday's announcement, that is no longer the case.
